Group Lessons – Learn to Ride Program

Discover a new passion and make new friends in the process.

Our Learn to Ride Group Program is the perfect way to start your riding adventure.  Whether you are completely new to horses, or had a little bit of experience – this is the program for you.

Riders will start from the ground up.  Learning the basics of properly handling the horse as well as grooming and tacking.  In the riding portion you will learn how to properly control the horse in the walk and trot while working your balance, position and confidence.

Ages:  Youth Program:  8-12 years old    Teen & Adult Program:  13 years old & up
Program Duration
:  8 Weeks
Class Length:  1 hour per week
( plus 30 minutes before and after your lesson time for horse care )
Class Size:  Groups of 8 students
Fee:  $249 plus HST

Proper equipment is mandatory for participation in the program – ASTM/SEI certified riding helmet, English riding boots and a crop.
Equipment Rental
Helmet/Crop/Boot Rental – $34 for the 8 weeks
Helmet/Crop Rental – $23 for the 8 weeks
Boot Rental – $15 for the 8 weeks

Equipment is also available for purchase at The Equine Emporium, conveniently located on-site at Meadowlarke Stables..

Introductory Private Lessons

Our private lessons run on the calendar month, and are a great option for new riders that prefer that one on one interaction.

Starting from the ground up, you will learn the basics of handling, grooming and tacking your horse.  While riding, control of the horse will be taught at the walk and trot as we incorporate exercises to improve your balance, position and confidence.  Since the lessons are private, the lesson can cater to your specific needs.

Ages:  8 & up
Program Duration:  Registration is done on the calendar month – 4 weekly lessons per month
Class Length:  30 minutes weekly
plus 30 minutes before and after your lesson for horse care
Fee:  $220 per month

*** the Introductory Fee is offered to those who have never taken lessons or camps before
**** the Introductory Fee is extended to riders for their first 2 month of lessons
